Slow by Design
We harvest only when the bark is ready. No shortcuts, no synthetic curing.
The journey from a misted estate in southern Sri Lanka to the world's finest kitchens, apothecaries and tea houses.
For three generations, our family has tended the same hillside in Sri Lanka's Galle district. We harvest by hand, cure by sun, and roll every quill in the way our grandfather taught us — slowly, and only when the bark is willing.
Today, Ceylon Reserve ships to chefs, apothecaries and tea houses in fifteen countries. The hands that touch our bark, however, have never changed.
Our grandfather plants the first hectare on the misted slopes outside Galle. The harvest is small, but the bark is exceptional.
His sons formalise the slow-rolling technique — only when the bark is willing, only by hand. Yields halve, quality doubles.
Ceylon Reserve is founded to export directly to chefs and apothecaries in Europe. Our first shipment leaves Colombo.
Cold-pressed oils and the first wellness line arrive — distilled at the estate, never blended downstream.
Shipped to fifteen countries, but still rolled by the same hands on the same hill. Slow. Honest. Ceylon.
We harvest only when the bark is ready. No shortcuts, no synthetic curing.
Every farmer we work with is paid above-market, year-round — not by the season.
If it didn't grow on our estate or a partner's, it doesn't carry our name.
